What is my login for Guild Wars 2?

Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 uses the same identifying information.

If you've played Guild Wars and have linked your Guild Wars 2 account with which you already have, then you must be logged in Guild Wars 2 forums using exactly the same information you used to log in and play Guild Wars.

Example 1 : Email or Account Name : my Account @ croft Password :
Example 2 : Email or Account Name : miemail@email.falso Password : miPasswordGW

If you have not linked your Guild Wars 2 account with an existing Guild Wars, then you identify with the email address and password you used during registration.

This may be due to several reasons:

The forums are getting a lot of traffic, so the site responds slowly or displays an error message. Please be patient and try again later.
Many players cannot identify are not using the right to access information. Please review carefully the section entitled what is my login for Guild Wars 2 ?
If you are sure you are entering the correct information, but still cannot get access to the forums, please follow the instructions shown below, in section I have tried resetting my password, but does not work.

The new account management system in Guild Wars 2 recognizes only the first 15 characters of your password. Please try to access using only the first 15 characters of your password to Guild Wars . If you still continue to receive an error message, please follow the instructions below.

If your account Guild Wars contained @ Plank or @ croft in the name of the account, try to reset your password through the system Croft Master Account  and try logging in again.

We are aware that this issue is causing a lot of players do not receive your new password. We are working on a fix and update common problems  when we have more information. Please be patient.

[ Edit ] I managed to identify, but the download is not available, why?

Some players are accessing the wrong place and seeing a message that reads "Guild Wars 2 - Not Available" (Guild Wars 2 - Not available), as you can see in the following image:



This file will be available later, by now you must make sure you are using the correct link , if you still do not get access to the forums using this link, you can browse them through the account management features, using the link on the top left (just below the logo 2 Guild Wars 2 ). This link will take you to the beta forums, follow the instructions below to get to the correct thread and download link.

If you are using the correct link, but access a page that just says Welcome (Welcome) , no options to download the client, try this: Click on the small link that indicates News and Announcements (News & Announcements) on the left. On the next page, click on the link Getting Started (Starting). Then show the download instructions and link.

When you're ready to download the client, just follow these simple steps to start playing Guild Wars 2.

Download the executable file of Guild Wars 2 from this link. If a question, be sure to respond Save or Save As , not Run .
Copy the executable file in the directory that is downloaded, usually the Downloads folder, and your PC directory in which you want to install the game. The directory in which you put the executable will be used to download and save the data.
Note: If you use Windows Vista or Windows 7 , we recommend that you install the game in a folder other than Program Files . Alternatively, you can run the game as Administrator.

Run the file from its directory definitive.

Right now you cannot change the account name or the email address of the account Guild Wars or Guild Wars 2 . This functionality will be activated before the release of Guild Wars 2 . We know that some players do not have valid email addresses in their accounts of Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 and wish to change them. It will be possible in the future.
